M belly pump

Hi , I got the M to the shop to fix the axles which was extremely easy . But when I was finished I figured I'd see if the belly pump worked . I plugged the right outlet with a pipe cap on the end of a nipple , the two on left side had quick connect's on them . I checked the level and nothing was in it so I added a little over a quart and pulled the lever . In about 3 second's I had a little over a quart on the floor . I didn't have time to look up under it after I cleaned up the mess and I really didn't want a face full of watery oil . Where could this have come from ? I'm guessing a broken housing from water freezing in it . The major part of the oil came from the right side . But on the bright side , it worked ! It's a simple 4 bolt removal isn't it ? Slide it or tip it forward to disengage the drive dog's and drop it down ? Thanks ! ....Randy
