RECENTLY PURCHASED 806 DIESEL I'VE HAD IT ABOUT A MONTH AND HAVEN'T DONE MUCH WITH IT YET. I STARTED IT FOR THE FIRST TIME YESTERDAY SINCE FREEZING TEMPS AND HAD NO HYDRAULICS AT ALL,BRAKES,STEERING ETC. CHECKED THE HYD FLUID AND IT IS BROWN AND WHITE GOO. CHANGED FLUID AND FILTER TODAY. NOW EVERYTHING WORKS GOOD. MY QUESTIONS THOUGH HOWEVER ARE THAT IT ONLY DRAINED ABOUT FIVE GALLONS OUT AND FIVE GALLONS FILLED IT. MY IT MANUAL SAYS IT HOLDS 17 GAL. THAT SEEMS LIKE A LOT TO ME ANYWAY. WHATS GOING ON? BUT NOW FOR THE BAD STUFF. WHEN I DRAINED THE FLUID I GOT SOME METAL PIECES IN THE PAN. A COUPLE OF PIECES THAT I'M SURE ARE NEEDLE BEARINGS AND SOME SMALL TIN LOOKING PIECES. THE PTO ON THIS TRACTOR HAD BEEN TORN UP BY SOMETHING AND WAS REBUILT BEFORE I BOUGHT IT. WOULD PARTS FROM THIS MAKE IT INTO THE HYD OIL AND MAYBE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT? TRANS SEEMS A LITTLE LOUD IN HIGHER GEARS BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS PROBABLY NORMAL. ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. THIS TRACTOR IS A BIG STEP UP FROM MY SUPER H AND 450. I HOPE IT ISN'T GONNA BECOME AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE.
