Needin' Help

Mornin' All, This should be an easy fix and it's turnin' out to be a real bone-fide nightmare. Can anyone tell me where to get that funny-threaded adaptor for the heat gauge thermocoupler? The threads in the head are 1/2" pipe and when I got the tractor, it was plugged off; I see why now, cause this new gaugeset cost me $180! The gauge is not pipe thread and it's not brass thread. I've been to every store in town and they just shrug their shoulders and look at me funny. :>( Anybody know what's going on with this rascal? Thanks, Allan
