Suffix Codes...

Did every letter series tractor have an X1 suffix if it came out the factory doors with a gasoline engine?

I came across an M that made me wonder if it had been converted. There was no X1 suffix, the radiator had shutters, and the compression was at about 80 psi. On the other hand it only had a gas tank with no other holes in hood, and the manifold was a regular gas manifold with no heat adjustments.

If some gas engines left the factory without the suffix, then I guess it's just a gasoline M with optional shutters and low compression.
