I RECENTLY REPLACED BATTERY CABLES ON MY 52 CUB WITH 1 GAUGE TO STARTER SWITCH AND FLAT WOVEN STRAP CABLE FOR POSITIVE GROUND ONTO BOLT UNDERNEATH SEAT. CHARGED 6-VOLT BATTERY AND CONNECTED NEGATIVE CABLE FIRST THEN POSIITVE GROUND (OR TRIED). WHEN I TRIED TO ATTACH POSITIVE CABLE TO + BATTERY POST IT MADE A LOT OF SPARKS. IS THIS DUE TO OVERVHARGING OF BATT., BAD REGULATOR, SHORTING OUT SOMEWHERE? ANY WORDS OF WISDOM WOULD BE APPRECIATED. TRACTOR STARTED AND RAN FINE BEFORE I STARTED TINKERING AND TRYING TO REPLACE BADLY FRAYED CABLES. THANKS.
