Could be a broken roller in the cam plate or at one time someone shimmed the T/A wrong and it is just showing up now the best way is to pull the top cover and look or like the other guy said may just be a linkage problem because someone was having trouble finding rev and started playen with the adjustment and not fixing the problem with rev. I have seen this to many times since a littel play here and there will screw everything up .
