Farmall A/B rear end question

Did they ever make a B with a offset rear end like the A? The Farmall I bought had the narrow front end, a U-2 powerunit engine, seat had been changed so no serial tag either. The rear end has no axel tube on left side, right side has axel tube part # 6823 DD, which my part book shows for a model B. The drawbar looks original and fits properly, no signs of cuts and rewelding. The A and B axel tubes from what I can tell should be about 4 inches diferent in length. Would this be some kind of aftermarket change, or did the factory make a few this way? Thanks for any ideas.
