I just purchased a 49 Cub. It had been changed to run a 12 volt negative ground, but the guy I bought it from was converting it back to the original 6 volt positive ground. He had not finished the wiring. I am trying to figure out the voltage regulator or (cut out). It is mounted on the generator and has three terminals. One marked L, one BAT, and one F. All the diagrams I find either show 4 terminals with the fourth marked GEN or else if there are just three. One is marked GEN instead of the L on my regulator. I have checked in several places and the regulator I have is the one for a generator mounted 6 volt, positive ground CUB. Is the L terminal on mine the same as the GEN terminal on the wiring diagrams.
