In the middle of reassembling a SA after a 2 year restore. The other night I was checking to see if the lights work after installing the new wire harness. Turned the switch on bright and sucess they all worked. Turned it to dim and I caught a glimpse of smoke coming from the back of the dash. Figured I had something wired wrong so I pulled out the battery and checked and re-checked, it was wired correct. Tonight I connected the battery with jumper cables so I could see where the smoke is coming from. Turned the lights on high for a good long while and no smoke. Turned them on dim and about 20 seconds later, smoke started coming out of the light switch. I was expecting to see it coming from that wire wound load connected across 2 terminals on the light switch. It only does it on the dim setting. Any ideas here? Is it time for a new switch? When I got this tractor there was no fuse in the holder. Thank You, scott#2
