Always shut off the fuel at the tank when shuting off the tractor. The gravity feed system will drain your fuel on the ground, or even (yes) fill up the engine with raw gasoline. The needle and seat need attention, as mentioned in the other posts. I believe either a brass, chrome, steel, or Viton tipped needle will work fine. The needle and seat should be replaced as a pair from the same source to prevent binding and mismatched angles. If it stops the flooding, it is working. Shut off the fuel even when fixed. JimN JimN
