You8 will have to unbolt at the trans as the brake drum is next to the trans. Then you can slide the diff shaft out away from the final drive. Mite want to remove the brake drum then the housing this will leave the diff shaft still in the final drive and then will be easier to pull the diff shaft. Mite want to check the inner and outer seals for leakage as chances are they are leaking. A cherry picker is handy for removal of the whole assy. Do you need the parts numbers for the two seals?
