I had the same problem. I had 180 degrees worth of play in wheel. I disassembled the upper bolster and post and found the the upper bushing surface was wore REAL bad. I chucked it up in my Lathe and welded up the entire top bushing surface and was gonna machine it back perfectly on the lathe. A problem occured though. The entire post warped from the heat, and I thought I had ruined it. I called up a machinist-blacksmith that I knew and he said that warpage is perfectly normal and that he could fix it. So I took it over to him and for $50.00 he straightened it out and machined the bushing surface to spec. The front bolster kit is available from Carter & Gruenewald...about $130.00.
