We (my dad's design) lifted a V snowplow with downforce on the two point pivoted under the rear axles and extending under the front axle of a 350ute. We still have the 350, but the plow was worked to scrap. Probably near 3000 pounds of down on the hitch with out problems. The ram is probably weaker from wear at the lower casting. The ram also pulls less than it pushes due to the cross section of the ram shaft on that end. I think it will fix well if prepped and "V"ed out. JimN
