I've had problems with those cheap cork gaskets that come with the kits on both valve covers and oil pans. Plus you have to be really careful with those cork gaskets as they break easy and then you're guaranteed a leak. If the valve cover is straight and it still leaks, I'd go get a good rubber gasket from the dealer. Their not that expensive.
