706 Questions T.Vet

Well I fired the 706 with 263 gasser up this afternoon after getting it all back together. Runs great, no noises, good oil pressure but I have two issues. The first one is the head gasket bubbles in two spots. I'am going to retorque the head tommorrow, hope this cures it. Had the head resurfaced and every thing was perfectally clean. The other thing is the valve cover gasket wants to leak in a corner. The victor gasket is a cork one, the one that was in it was a rubber one. Any tricks to making these seal or should I get a rubber one from the dealer.
