super c front seal leaking

how involved, timewise, is it to change the oil seal on the front of the super c crankshaft? christine has developed a major drip after tightening the fan belt. i've never had to change one before. wife is dreading the bill from mechanic. i've had too many $250 charges to replace a $.50 oring or gasket. thanks.
