I switched from distributor to H4 mag on my '49 H. It was a very hot mag, timed correctly. It ran fine, but never quite as well as it did on the distributor, so I switched it back and it went back to running like it should. That tractor has an attitude like my wife(does the opposite of what I want) so it may have just not wanted to run on the mag!
