I just went through this very same thing this week. The F-12s and F-14s had three different engines. The very first F-12s had Wakashaw engines, while International was still desinging/perfecting theirs. IH than used two of its own engines, the FL type, which was inteded as a straight gas engine and was used in the F-12s and F-14s. The last engine was a Kerosene special engine, also used in both, which could be started on gas than switched over to Kerosene or run straight gas. You should be able to tell what engine it is by the number that is cast on the water jacket on the drivers side of the block. If you cant figure it out, post the number on here, and i or somebody else may be able to help ya.
