To start off, I have to warn you that I'm an Allis man. I recently acquired a Farmall M, about 1948 model. Rumors are floating around the neighborhood that ther's red in my shed, so I need to sell it before the rumor is verified. I'll never live it down. It is in great shape. No dents or rust, all shields in place, has fenders, original paint in good shape. Only flaw is where muffler clamp worn into hood. Runs good, but pops out of fifth. What is a good asking price, with bad gear and with it fixed. What is needed to fix fifth gear? Is it like the H discribed a few ? prior to this one, or do I need to split tracter and replace it? As I said before, I farm with Allis', so I'm used to fixing junk LOL.
