Thanks. I really got into it today. Took out the drive shaft and bearing retainers and got right to the pilot bearing. Guess what I found? The nut had come off of the pilot bearing and the nut and bearing were loose in there. Wow! The nut was stipped but looks like the female threads on the shaft are ok. I will need to get a new pilot bearing and nut. Think I will just get a nut from tractor supply.
