With all the help from others on this site, I finally got my magneto to run. After sitting on my Farmall M for 8 years not running, I couldn"t get any spark. After fooling with it for several weekends, I had to move the tractor, so I borrowed the battery ignition off my Farmall Super C. Now I was stuck with the magneto problem on my Super C. After moving it to our new house in Iowa, I installed a new coil in it and put new plugs, points , condensor, cap and rotor in it. I had a little trouble timing it to the engine. But it started up and appears to run fine. I even worked tonight for a couple of hours with the lights on the tractor, spreading out an old pile of manure with the belly blade. Works much better than the 3-point mounted blade on my M! Don Mountain, Magneto Rebuilders, INC.
