If yours is the tall one those were used in the early days. The oil comes up thru the bolt that holds the filter and steel shell in place. There is a hole in the bottom of the long bolt in the center and then another one up in the sidewall the oil comes thru the hole in the stud and out thru the filter then down into the pan. Check to see that the holes are not plugged.
