If it is leaking from the reservoir, you will see it. If you don't see it, the seal on the pump is shot, and it is leaking into the crankcase. A new seal and a speedy sleeve on the shaft (if badly grooved) will fix the problem. Open the top petcock on the oil pan and see how much oil comes out.
