I put in some alfalfa/orchard grass last spring. Had good luck with plowing, then double/triple discing. Then waiting til the weeds started to emerge and then roundup and used the cultipacker on the same pass.
This was in SD. I think you are a little high on the grasses, and wondering if the rye will get going as change from cool to warm affect it a lot. 15/3 was what we planted using brillion drill. But it sure looks god in a couple of places where we made two passes!
The deer and pheasants both LOVE the hell out of it!
