When you say just bolts on are we talking removing the plate in the back and inserting a splined drive shaft. In other words fairly quick and easy (and cheap) or would it mean opening up the rear axle and spending 40 hours doing stuff.
I am fairly mechanically adept. Do all my own car work and when it gets big, like replacing a transmission I call my little brother the mechanic.
The tractor is $1,500. Assuming that the labor is free and the rest of the tractor works (I need to re-attach the carb, control panel and make new spark plug wires as well as dink with the starter. Supposedly all the parts are there) can I get the PTO up and running for less than $300? How many hours and or dollars. What can I open up and look at to verify if the PTO guts are there?
