HB: I quite agree with CNKS, as it applies to the rear rims. However most 140s came from factory with front rims painted red. I have seen pre 1963 - 140 with the front rims painted white and it looked very nice, whether that was fectory painting I'm not sure. Once the 140 changed to the 04-06 type grill, I've never seen anything but red rims on front, same shade as tractor. You see this white rim thing on all disc front wheel Farmalls from time to time, personally I think it is replacment rims that came with a nice coat of white, customer put them on and liked the white. I don't think IH ever painted front tractor rims white.
