Went to look at a 1945 farmall h for sale today when i took it for a test drive it wouldn"t stay in fifth gear kept poping out. I was wondering what the cause might be i also noticed that a lot of noise coming from the rear end or trasmission or did the older h"s have some noise in this area i have a farmall sh that has no noise at all any speed or gear. I checked the rear end oil and it was milky looked to have water into it to me would this make a little noiser it was full of oil one other thing the battery was 6 volt with neg. ground i have never seen this in a 6 volt. Thanks to any help Robert from mich.
