Bore the M block to 4.25, after you have had it checked for cracks first,, Then you cut the sleeve flange down to the M flange specs. That will allow you to run 450 sleeves with a 4.125 bore. 450 head gasket, and you have a hidden 281 in a 248 block! You gotta watch the older M blocks, best advice would be to remove the water plate on the side of the block, if the outside of the bores look flaky rusty, find a better block that isnt faling apart from the outside in. 6.125 stroke can be used with a bit of grinding.
