You can do two things first. 1. Remove the belt pulley housing, you can see the shifter forks. 2. Perhaps this should be #1: -- Pull the gearshift lever. If neither of those work and you have an engine hoist, you can carefully lift the top cover off without damaging anything. I have removed top covers, but never with the shifter stuck. Just be careful.
