Farmall H, top cover off tranny, now what

Removed the top cover so I could service the shifter rails, as they was stuck(removing the belt pully attachment and hitting the rails with a dead blow hammer had zero effect). Have the rails working nicely.
BUT... there are pieces of a roller bearing scattered throughout the tranny case. I visually cannot see any bearing all mangled in place. How can I find the failed bearing?
Secondly, the transmission/axles leak like mad. So, who has replaced those seals, and I should do it now that I have the top cover off, right?
