The 300 is just like the H in this way,you should remove the top of the tranny and remove the bull gear and press the axle and housing out after you remove all the bolts from mounting flange on axle housing.Its apretty big job if done right I have seen some short cuts but dont recommend them too many things can go wrong if you cant see exactly what you are doing....RBF
