What question are you talking about? There's nothing from GeoffNY anywhere in the first 4 pages of posts. I would've remembered a question like that. Here's a piece of info that may put the kaybosh on putting a D282 in a SWD6 right off: The W6 had a cast iron bathtub chassis, not frame rails. I'm not sure about the SWD6 or SW6. To install a D282, you're going to have to extend the frame rails, no doubt. How do you propose to extend the cast chassis, if your tractor is so equipped? It's a different story with steel frame rails, as those are easy to weld on. I am not sure, but I believe the first "W" series tractor to have real frame rails is the SW6TA, or the W-400. The bell housing is the same between the SM and SW6, and you can bolt a 560 front end to an M/SM rear end, so with a 560 rear engine plate, the D282 should bolt right up in back.
