H Short?

All right i poasted about a week ago about a H that wont start. Well i bought a new 6 volt coil for it and with the week battery it had it would turn it over barley then stop so then i new i had fixed it. Just went out and bought a new 6 volt battey put it on put some starting fluid in it and she turend over but she wont start and at first the voltage regulator was smoking a little stram of white smoke. Then The battery termanal comming from the swich (NEGTIVE) it had a little stream of with smoke went to take the negeave cable off and the cable was hot burriup but did not melt the wire. Could some one tell me whats going on what do i do. Thanks Ryan Also when you put the ternimal on from the swich she sparks a little.
