Hi Terry, the hydraulic pump should deliver about 12 GPM to the MCV valve (series of valves and pipes that the filter mounts on). The MCV valve splits off about 3 GPM that goes to the power steering, oil cooler and power brakes, the remaining 9 GPM goes to the 3pt hitch and remotes. The relief valve and and splitter valves are all in the MCV body and the main hydraulic pump is behind the MCV valve. When our 454 was about 9 months old it would do the same as yours when the Hytran oil was hot. Come to the end of the field and it would not lift the plow out of the ground unless it was running at full throttle. Since it was still under IH warranty IH tech came out and did flow rate and pressure test of hydraulic system and said the hydraulic pump was weak. Took 454 back to shop and replaced hydraulic pump. Tractor is still running today 35 years later. I don't recommend working on hydraulic system without proper repair manuals and test equipment. Hi pressure hydraulic oil can cause sever injury. JB2
