We have that same problem down here in NZ. I live in a rural area and over the years a number of cats have appeared on the doorstep, obviously pets that have been dumped. We have adopted two or three of them but there is a limit as to how many you can keep. We have left the others at the local humane society to find homes. There is also the same problem with litter on the roadside, we must live just the right distance from town for the consumption of a Big Mac and a can of Pepsi. Sid.
