When the tractor is stone cold, (and would do the missfire routine if stsrted) Do this before cranking. Put it into diesel run mode with the lever, then put it into gas mode as though you were going to start it. Then back into diesel mode. THen remove the valve cover and look at the compression release valves. If one of them is way loose, or even .020 looser than spec, I would suspect a sticking valve (that one) If they are all near correct, I sustect a prechamber crack, or an injector with a bad pattern, or low compression on that cylinder.
