I sort of agree with Hugh, but but the parts manual is confusing. If it was mine I would buy a pressurized cap. The lack of a water pump has nothing to do with whether or not it is pressuized, that I am sure of. I have 48 and 50 C's, and a 1953 Super A like yours, all pressurized, no water pumps. The worst that could happen is that your radiator could spring a leak under pressure. However, I really believe that the non-pressurized has tabs on the inside, pressurized on the outside -- the parts book does not confirm that though.
