Dennis: I've never owned a Freeman loader, in fact have only seen them on 30-40 hp tractors. The reputation for them, I've heard is much the same as you are already getting. I don't know if Freeman built more than one loader as in light or heavy duty. With all due respects to K.B., if that Freeman is same as any I've seen, it definitely never hurt the 584 even if he bulldozed trees, unless of course loader bucket is somewhere under the oil pan. Personally I'd go take a look, the Freeman, even in good shape will not add much value. You may just get yourself one hell of a good 584. If he is the original owner and has lived 25+ years with the Freeman, he is definitely a gentle man.
