300 brakes stick

Thought I better get the 300 out and strech 'er legs since she was being cooped up at the fair for a week. Started back to the farm from the nearest gravel road, I did use the brakes to slow down, but as I got goin, she all of a sudden started pulling hard like up a hill then it went easy. back to the shed, shut it off and saw that the right brake were smoken. Never done it before, what would cause it to do that and how do it fix it. Levi
