Best way to fix a rusted Rim

Hi all,
I have a rim that is rusted thru in several locations. I want to keep the tractor mobile, and new or used rims are not affordable for me right now. I have access to tools, so torch and mig welder is not an issue, its just the "Know how" to fix the rim..Would like to do it correctly the first time.
