The front angled part makes a 90? degree up turn and has a nut welded to it. It looks to me like the piece with the nut was broken off on yours and someone tried to curve it up but did not drill the hole. On the Super A-1, and likely the 130 that Hugh mentions there is a spacer (piece of tube or pipe) between the nut and the grill, as the grills are different. All you have to do is drill a hole, weld on a nut, bend it properly and put a spacer between the hole and the grille.
