The generator is removed when the alternator is installed, so if you want to switch it back you definately will need a generator. The one on eBay does appear to be the correct one, but since the seller does not know if it works, you probably don't want to bid it up too high. The shipping on that one is about $20, so if you bid $20 and get it, you will have $40 invested, and you still don't know if it works.
