I have done this procedure before with wide open throttle and adjusted the clevis going to carb. The problem was the whole steering support column is moving around changing the idle characteristics of the motor !!! If I push foward on the steering column the idle goes down to where it should be ! My question is, is there supposed to be some sort of bracket from the electrical panel or steering post to the touch control to support that whole assembly from moving around. When I installed the steering support column I used big flat washers in the bottom of the electrical panel but I quess thats not enough. I am in the process of finishing the restore of this tractor and would appreciate any input ! scotty
