I am finishing up the 54 SM-D/TA. The paint turned out awesome using factory IH paint mixed 8 parts paint-1 part IH thinner-1 part hardener, over IH red oxide primer. Here's the question...Should the decal up front be the standard "winged" SMTA or is it supposed to have the acronim MD/TA below the word super? The reason I ask is every old picture I have ever seen has the regular "winged" SMTA decal and the word "Diesel" is on the fuel tank. Recently I saw a picture of a "restored" one and to my surprise the "winged" decal had the word "Super" on the top as it should, but on the bottom it had MD-T/A. It still had the word "Diesel" on the fuel tank. This is a really rare tractor as most of you know and every aspect of it has been done correctly with painstaking hours spent with attention to correctness. Can you or can anyone help me. Drew

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
