stop on spindle broke

The stop for the steering on my 300U is broke off on the front right spindle. I know now why when I turn to the right sometimes my right front wheel will flop all the way around. I then have to raise the front end up with the loader and fix it. Can I get someone to weld a new stop on or should I look for a used spindle? A guy I work with says its cast iron and would be hard to weld too.
