When I went out to Tulsa to a company called Unit Rig on an engine. The company told me they made 100 ton and 200 ton mining trucks with electric drive. The cab was only big enough for the driver. They had to weld the 200 dump bed at the mining site. One of best trips I had. I even took the wife along. Hal PS: One of the engines they used was an EMD made by a division of GM, but i think that division was sold. The engine was 1600hp and max rpm's were 900.
