Actually the original pistons & sleeves for the H were made by Thompson Products. They also made IH's valves, springs, guides, and other misc. IH also did some contracting with Perfect Circle at this time also (& Later.. as a note, 4-5/8" 650D Sleeves were made by PC I have a copy of the blueprint). Zollner did make Most of the Aluminum pistons for the MD-24, with the remainder comming from Thompson Products. As far as gas pistons & sleeves, Zollner started making them for IH sometime around the introduction of the firecraters. Gould/Clevite also did some contracting with IH before their current run, with the only examples I have seen being 4.5" Step head pistons for the 600-650 Gas tractors (zollner made most). As a note, IH also had Wellworthy (England) make pistons & sleeves for the gas & diesel tractors.
