We have had the tractor on the farm for 20 years. 3 years before we went to 12 volt, I changed the ringgear & bendix. The starter on the tractor is the same starter thats been on it for 20 years, never had the problem with six volt.

I think the everyday use of the speeded up 6v starter using 12v has been the culprit damaging the ringgear.

So, if I get a 350 12v starter and put the H nose housin on it, should work or not?
