Don't waste your time or money changing the fluid. It's never the fluid, and most likely isn't the filter given that the tractor moves when the oil is cold. Cold oil is harder to pump through a dirty filter than hot. Allen in NE is probably the closest thing we have to a hydro expert here, IMHO. IIRC he's the one that spent a bunch of time learning, troubleshooting, and changing out parts in his hydro, and successfully got it working again. His foray into hydrostatic transmissions is documented way back in this forum. Forgive me if I'm thinking of someone else Allen or if I misspelled your name.
