Have a 350U overhauled motor with new sleeves and pistons. Started it up a few weeks ago and ran fine, except while it was running noticed a little anti-freeze coming out around one of the head studs. It did quit after ten minutes or so. Well the water jacket had some leaks also and decided to fix that, cleaned off and resealed it, then noticed water in the oil. I did not retorque the head after it was hot, maybe I should have, but anyway, pulled the head, checked the height of sleeves above the deck surface. One was .007 all the others .005-.006. The spec is .002-.006. Pulled the one sleeve, took .002 off the inside of the head and reinstalled. New head gasket, had the head surfaced, put the water back in, left the oil pan off and sure enough there was anti-freeze dripping out of the bottom of the sleeves. Took the head off again, cleaned and sprayed with copper gasket sealant and installed again. Still leaks, but not as bad. Could it be the sleeves are too high yet, even though they meet spec? I am tempted to pull all the sleeves and make them to be .002 above the deck and put the head back on. I have made sure the head stud threads have sealant on them also. I even drained the water out of the radiator, left the block drain in and it didn"t leak. Makes me think it is coming from an area from the gasket up? Of all the things I thought could go wrong overhauling a tractor motor, sealing the head was not even on the list. Sorry for the long post, but would appreciate any input. Thank you.

The Cletrac General GG and the BF Avery A - A Bit of History - by Mike Ballash. This article is a summary of what I have gathered up from various sources on the Gletrac General GG and the B. F. Avery model A tractors. I am quite sure that most of it is accurate. The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
